Bronwyn Mitchell
Bronwyn has spent almost twenty years singing in choirs. A member of the Australian Girls' Choir for three years, and the Young Voices of Melbourne for almost six, she is grateful for the many opportunities she has had to sing all sorts of music, work with many conductors and tour both interstate and internationally. She was a founding member and is the secretary of Concordis Chamber Choir, a Melbourne ensemble who were National Finalists in the inaugural ABC Choir of the Year Competition in 2006. The choir recently released their second CD Journey to celebrate their tenth anniversary.
Bronwyn completed a Bachelor of Arts (Social Science) at Monash University in 2003, and a Graduate Certificate of Public History in 2004. She works in arts administration but took a year off to travel in 2007-8, singing, salsa dancing - and occasionally working - her way around the world, including singing with Christ Church Cathedral Choir (Vancouver, Canada), Cor Cois Abhann (Cork, Ireland) and volunteering for the fabulous Cork International Choral Festival.
Bronwyn joined NYCA for the Melbourne-Sydney tour, and has taken part in every season since. She has toured with the choir in every state and territory of Australia and wears the badge choir geek with pride.
