How to help NYCA
NYCA is not just any choir: singers say they learn more in one season of NYCA than in a year with any other group. And what singers learn at NYCA, they take back to their home choirs and communities. Even better, a music teacher who spends a season in NYCA returns to their students, classes or choirs with new music, techniques and approaches to choral singing. So, what can you do to help this fabulous group, and through it enrich Australia's musical culture?
Publicity
One of the biggest ways you can help is to talk. Talk to choir directors, singers (even those currently too young to join), singing teachers, or anyone you know who has an interest in music, and tell them about NYCA! Tell them about our web site, get them to sign up to our Friends list, give them a copy of our latest newsletter... or just take them to a concert!
Financial support
As a not-for-profit group, we have the ongoing challenge of minimising the financial burden on members. Gathering talented musicians from all over the country to create amazing musical experiences doesn't come cheap. So financial support - in small amounts or large - is always greatly appreciated. If you can help NYCA financially, please consult the individual donation or corporate sponsorship page.
